Identification workshop materials

Hi

There are increasing numbers of identification workshops taking place, these days, with Dolis, Tachinids, Tephritids, Larger Brachycera and so on all having opportunities for study and all, presumably, providing helpful material for those attending.

For various reasons, I can never make these workshops and I would imagine the same is true for plenty of other people. What about making any material distributed at those meetings available through this site? I would happily pay for them, if that were necessary.

The point of the workshops is to increase awareness of the group with potential recorders, so it would make sense to distribute any helpful materials. I managed to get my hands on some excellent notes from a  Doli workshop, last year, and they have been very useful already.

Any chance?

Ian

Re: Identification workshop materials

For many workshops I suspect the keys used may either be early versions being tested, perhaps for eventual publication, or produced specifically for the course and possibly incorporating material that may require copyright clearance before being circulated more widely.
Some keys from earlier workshops are available in the 'Test keys and other unpublished material' section.

Re: Identification workshop materials

Hi

I think Ian may have a point?

The last posting on the 'Test keys and other unpublished material' section with something downloadable was April 2008 - as good as 5 years ago.

Ken's is correct too - re - publication/copyright etc. However I know there are some keys floating about that members have done themselves that could maybe go on there?
