Little patterned wing flies

Can anybody help with the identification of these little patterned wing flies captured in a sandy habitat? ( Laziate pits in Norfolk in May).

Re: Little patterned wing flies

It looks like a member of the family Diastatidae.

Re: Little patterned wing flies

My guess is Trixoscelis marginella, Heleomyzidae (or Trixoscelidae).
We can see the spines on costa.

Stephane.

Re: Little patterned wing flies

Thank-you!  Yes I can just about see the spines on the costa and read that in this family patterned wings are common.  I see that T marginella is a Notable species associated with lowland heathland and coastal sand dunes so it all fits.  I have, however to get hold of the relevant keys for confirmation.
