Common fly

Apologies in advance for the poor photo quality. I have been really struggling to put a name to this common fly. any pointers would be most welcome

Many thanks, that seems probable. I had considered Phasia, but had also considered a lot else beside. The problem has been with the hairyness of this fly hiding many of the feature that the keys use. I would have possibly considered hemiptera if I had seen any males. But have not seen any as yet at this site (North East Hants).

I struggle this the not so obvious Tachinids
