Tachina grossa at altitude

I've been sent a very good photograph of Tachina grossa sitting on a rock in the Lake District, taken on the 28th June. According to the photographer the altitude was 1397 ft. I've only ever seen this fly in lowland areas. Is this record unusual?

Re: Tachina grossa at altitude

I've seen Tachina grossa on a summit in the Peak District, about 1500 ft.

Thanks Tony. By no means confined to lowlands then.
