An interesting fly in the rain

I wonder if you could possibly help withthe identification of this fly which was on a knapweed seedhead in a wildflower meadow at Belper?  There are two photos.

Yip, that sure is Physocephala rufipes.  Not a difficult species to identify, but I must say that there boy Laurence Clemons is quick on the draw.  Maybe not the fastest gun in the West, but maybe the fastest det. in the South-east!  Congratulations to the photographer for taking more than one photograph, thereby giving views of the insect from more than one angle, which greatly increases the chance that a possitive identification to species level can be made.
