Dipterists and recording in Guernsey

Hello,

I was wondering if there is anybody actively studying/collecting Diptera in Guernsey in the Channel islands? I am currently living in Wales but grew up in Guernsey and have been thinking about starting a recording scheme there. Maybe someone is doing this already, in which case I would be interested in talking to them and helping them out.
Any advice is appreciated.

Many thanks

Re: Dipterists and recording in Guernsey

Steve Falk did work there in preparation for his bees book so he might know something about the Diptera there.
Also try Guernsey Biological Records Centre at http://www.biologicalrecordscentre.gov.gg/ (there were other initiatives on other Channel Isles, Alderney I thinK - try their Wildlife Trust at http://www.alderneywildlife.org/)
Good luck, you might add to the UK list like Steve did for his bees.
