ID help please

Hi there

I am new to this site and just starting learning about diptera and wanted some ID help with two species please.

The species were found in Raw Nook NR in Low Moor Bradford.  The site is urban and the habitat is lowland heath with a wildflower meadow and various trees mainly Silver Birch.

1) 2018-7-26 13.15.10 I think maybe a Conops Sp?

2) 2018-08-04 Looks like a Hoverfly Sp but again unsure

Many thanks
Martyn

Re: ID help please

Both are conopids, the 2nd one Physocephala rufipes. The first one as you rightly say is a Conops sp.
