If there is no fan of hairs on the middle metatarsus then you are probably correct.

Thank you Laurence. Here are two photos of the middle tarsi from different angles. No fan that I can see.

In Delia florilega, the other common species with a row of small setulae on the hind tibia, the fan is distinct and curved so this is most probably Delia platura.

It is Delia platura, the shape of the cercal plate and surstyli are slightly different to Delia florilega. I attach photos of the mid tarsal fringe and genitalia of Delia florilega for comparison.
The hypopygium photo is apparently too large So I will submit later when I have sorted it out!
I get a message to tell me why it won't upload, but it only lasts 3 seconds on the screen, so I don't know the reason. The photo is well below the limits stated, in fact less than those for the other photo.
