Beds Natural History Society Insect Conference

The Third Beds Natural History Society Insect Conference:  More Neglected Insects in Beds will be bursting out of its cocoon on Saturday 17 November 2018 at Marston Vale Forest Centre, Beds.

As you will be aware we had two very successful conferences in 2014 and 2016 which were both full with 100 delegates and ended up over-subscribed. Two-thirds of the tickets for this year are already sold so act now if you want to come.

The Society is proud of the two previous events, which attracted speakers and delegates from far and wide, and drew much praise for the quality of the presentations, the first-class exhibits, and the retail opportunities available.  Without exaggeration, Bedfordshire is making a name for itself in the world of entomology!  Beginner, expert or something in between, you are most welcome to come along and be a part of it.

There are seven presentations of which three are on Diptera as follows:

Craneflies                                                                                                John Kramer

Long-legged Flies or “Dollies”   (Dolichopodidae)                                        Martin Drake

Snail-killing Flies  (Sciomyzidae)                                                               Stuart Ball

For more details including booking form, please see the BNHS website at https://www.bnhs.co.uk/index.php

We have been assured that those attending this event will NOT be charged for parking.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any queries

We hope to see you there!

Many thanks and best wishes to all
