Re: Groby Pool SSSI

1 is a Chironomini female.
2 is a Morellia female
3 is Rhipidia maculata (I think) female
4 Psychodidae
5 Sciomyzidae - Tetanocera, I think
6 Lonchoptera lutea male
7 Scathophaga male

I've been told I have to get up early in the morning, so that's all for now! smile

Re: Groby Pool SSSI

Thanks Tony.
I'll try to remember Lonchoptera lutea in future as apparently it's typical for Lonchopteridae
Never too old to get sent to bed smile

Alan Stubbs says-
"The top one is Limnophila schranki, quite a local early species so records are valuable"

Re: Groby Pool SSSI

Just goes to show that thinking late at night is seldom a good thing! Thanks to Alan for the correction.
