I visited a farm in the Oxfordshire Chilterns today, near Christmas Common, as part of a farming and wildlife event organised by the Chilterns Conservation Board. We were looking at some areas of restored flower meadow, and in the meadow I was pleased to find a healthy population of Villa cingulata - I saw around 20 individuals and I'm sure there were a lot more there.
Good to see this fly increasing in the Chilterns at the moment
