Limonia dilutior & Rhipidia maculata
are these two the same thing or not?. Both names come up in the checklist here when I search and there is an NBN distribution map link for each, but in my printed copy of the checklist there is no 'dilutior' listed under 'Limonia' and it says that 'dilutior' is an obsolete term now under Rhipidia for 'maculata'.

No, Judy, they are two separate species and never have been synonyms. Rhipidia maculata appeared as Limonia duplicata on old lists, and as Rhipidia duplicata in Kloet and Hincks (1976) but this was an error. John Kramer
