Request for correct name for Collins' Pachymeria picipes
I have some large Empids which seem to key out as Pachymeria picipes, using Collins� 1961 key.
Is this species now known as Euempis picipes or as something else? Pachymeria picipes is in Kloet and Hincks (2nd Edn 1975) but not in the Checklist edited by Peter Chandler.
Also are there any similar species which I ought to consider before labelling these specimens as picipes?
