This meeting, based at Stoke-on-Trent in Staffordshire, will be during the week commencing 23rd June, not in July as said in the recent edition of the Bulletin. As Alan Stubbs says in the Bulletin (page 31), there are many different habitats and excellent sites within striking distance of Stoke-on-Trent. I hope many members will wish to attend.

If you are buying OS Explorer maps for our Summer Field Week area, watch out for the prices.
I generally consider the OS website prices (£8.99) as being top whack. W.H. Smiths are higher at £10+ (two for the price of 1.5, so still close to OS) so a last-minute motorway service station purchase will be hard on the pocket.
Blacks currently have some on offer at £5.40
OS are still not offering "download-only" maps for mobile devices. I wonder why I keep bothering as the moblie app is so useless.
