Soldierflies and Allies website
With much help from the expert and ever-patient Jim Bacon at Biological Records Centre, a new website is starting to take shape for the Soldierflies and Allies Recording Scheme. It's still in the larval stage, but has some information on identifying the group, and on sending in records:

There's lots I'd like to add to it over time, but it's probably going to take quite a long time!

That's a good question Howard, and I'm not sure of the answer! I don't think that registering as a user will allow you to do anything that you can't already (except for adding comments to the News page), so it's probably not necessary at this stage. I'll add it to the list of things I need to check with BRC.

Yes very nice Martin, crisp and to the point.
What are the chances of a gallery now? Just one or two "best of the bunch" representative images of them all. It would help folk home in on IDs from photos before they posted on iSpot. Don't be surprised if a few images turn up in that Dropbox folder we just set up, only top quality ones of course and with full location metadata.
If that works I might beg a site from BRC for my scheme, mine would be tricky as all I've got is images.

Species accounts and illustrations are on the to-do list, and help with providing suitable images will be very gratefully received, but it will be a while yet before I have the website set up to cope with galleries etc., so please bear with me!
