Stuart, if I have an identification request, how do I post the photo of the fly I would like help with?

Load the picture in the photo gallery and then include a link to it in your posting.
For example, here is my picture of Graphomyia.
To make this link:
1. I went to the Gallery, found the image and opened it.
2. I copied the URL from my browser's address bar which looks like this:
http://www.dipteristsforum.org.uk/img/gallery/2_1202464943.jpg
3. Finally I created the link to go in my post like this:
Graphomyia
The format is [url=
]
.

I am in the process of adding an image upload facility which will allow you to include images directly in your post. The images show as thumbnails in a strip at the bottom of the post - up to 20 are allowed per post. Clicking on a thumbnail shows the full size image on its own page.
Anybody got any suggestions as to how big an image I should allow? The default settings are 1600 x 1200 pixels and 512Kb file size. The thumbnails are of 100 pixels max dimension.
Which Forums need this facility? Obviously "Identification requests" - which is where this started off. Any others?

Possibly 'General Discussion' will also need it, Stuart. Thanks.
