Bulletin #88

List advised in Bulletin at https://tinyurl.com/y48vp35p as printed on the contents page. Logically the link to this (initially blank) post needs to be created as the Bulletin is being compiled so that it can be printed on the contents page.
Back issues of Dipterist Forum Bulletin at http://micropezids.myspecies.info/node/301 this also includes an updated version of Judy Webb's "Flowers for Flies" and I've also recently added Laurence Clemon's Tephritid Atlas which was announced in Bulletin 85 and will be of interest to those attending the 2020 Preston Montford workshop

Bulletin Features
There are now two features intended for the print version of this Bulletin which are also available to download as Open Access.
They are to be found on the Bulletin download page http://micropezids.myspecies.info/node/301:
1. Flies for Flowers
2. Deadwood & Diptera
Bulletin editors would be pleased to hear from any writer who might consider compiling similar features.
One theme might be habitats. For example I didn't cover "sap runs" in the above and it needn't necessarily be me who writes that one (I have some images but not enough to do it justice, so any offers would be welcome)
The idea is that they are "introductory accounts" so they needn't go into great technical detail. However they would need to have many good images.
If you have ideas then you needn't attempt fancy DTP, Powerpoint set up for A4 can be a good means of assembling a rough layout.
Look at some good popular magazine layouts (Amateur Photographer, Fine Woodworking) and try for 4 pages initially, 8 if it grows.
