North London Malaise trap august 2018 (lots of individuals).
Help with id to family would be really helpful, please.
I'm finding it a slow process, trying to get up to speed.
I always trip up on these, it's the sub-costa bend that generally causes me a lot of heartache, as I'm id'ing wet specimens and it's hard to find or see the anal veins, as sods law, that's where the wing crimples.
*Please note pic is a wet specimen, so colours/markings are not accurate.

One of the wings appears to show the anal vein running all the way to the margin, and the hind legs are very bristly, so I would suggest Anthomyiidae for this. On the plus side it's a male, so a look at the genitalia will probably provide an answer.

Many thanks.
